On August 11, 2008, OIT will open a new location for computing support, the Technology and Media Services Support Center, in the West Dunn Building, at the southwest corner of Dan Allen Drive and Thurman Drive.
Hours will be Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Students can receive support in these areas:
* Software, including virus and spyware removal * Connectivity for users of ResNet and the campus wireless network * Warranty and hardware for computers purchased from the Campus Bookstore * Campus cable television * Campus telephone and voice mail
In addition, the Center will handle the normal walk-in duties of the NC State Help Desk, including software distribution, password resets, computing issues, and anything else that the campus community would have needed at the Hillsborough Building previously. Visitors should go to the West Dunn Building for any walk-in Help Desk needs.
You can still contact cable and phone service by dialing 515-7099, option 1.
Please contact the NC State Help Desk at 919-515-4357 or help@ncsu.edu for more information. |
